Chelsea Pennucci

Director, Strategy & Impact

Chelsea joined the Compass team in August 2016. Currently, she serves as a Director on our strategy team where she manages the design and implementation of new projects, pilots, and field-building initiatives to support the organization’s capacity building and strategic growth efforts. Chelsea started at Compass as the manager for the organization’s National FSS Network demonstration. In that role, she worked directly with practitioners and other stakeholders at partner organizations on the launch, implementation, and improvement of their FSS programs.

Prior to Compass, Chelsea worked as the Strategic Communications Manager at Health Leads, a national social enterprise that partners with health systems to create models for integrating patients' social needs into primary care delivery. In this role, she developed a passion for exploring how innovative, high-growth nonprofits can effectively scale their impact and adapt their service delivery models to expand their reach. Chelsea is also an alumna of AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) where she served as both an Assistant Team Leader and the Ambassador Program Coordinator for the Atlantic Region. She currently volunteers as a team mentor for United Way's Youth Venture program in Boston.

Chelsea graduated from Bates College with a B.S in Psychology and concentrations in Public Health and Education. She holds a Family Self-Sufficiency Specialist certification from Nan McKay and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
